You just started working with a marketing agency to improve your Google Ads performance and need to give them access to your Google Ads account. The worst thing you can do is give them your login credentials! Giving someone your login information allows them full access over your account, including the ability to view and change your personal and financial information.
A better way to work with your agency is to invite them to work with you. Setting boundaries when working with agencies will go a long way in protecting your privacy as a client. Additionally, this method allows you to control your agency’s access level and to remove them from your account if required.
We’ve detailed how to grant a marketing agency access to your Google Ads account in an easy step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Sign in
Go to https://ads.google.com/home/ and sign into the ad account you would like the agency to be able to access. If you don’t have a google account, create one.
Step 2: Locating your account ID
Locate your 10-digit account ID in the top-right corner of your screen. Your ID may also be in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3: Wait for the access request
Send your agency your account ID. They will be able to send you an access request on their side. Once you approve of their request, they will be able to work on the ads in your account.
Now that you know the optimal way to collaborate with an agency without compromising your account security and privacy!
